Luther Carson Weaver, born on January 26, 1953, peacefully departed this life on November 4, 2024, at Washington County Hospital, surrounded by his loving son. Luther was a cherished figure in the lives of many, known for his funny, outgoing personality and his ability to bring joy to those around him. He enjoyed his fulfilling career as a Foreman in the construction industry, where his expertise and leadership were invaluable.
Luther found great pleasure in various hobbies, including fishing, hunting, watching TV, and gardening. These activities not only filled his days with enjoyment but also allowed him to create memorable experiences with family and friends.
He was immensely proud of his family, which was his greatest accomplishment. Luther leaves behind three devoted children: Lavanda Smith, Joseph Weaver, and Jerome Weaver. He was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and a proud great-grandfather to thirteen great-grandchildren, as well as a great-great-grandfather to one great-great-granddaughter. His siblings, Mary Lou Ford, Gertrude Johnston (Luther), and Fabien Weaver (Jamie), along with a multitude of nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends, will deeply miss his presence.
Luther was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Reed; his parents, Wade and Stella Weaver; his grandson, Brandon Davis; his daughter, Beverly Snow; and siblings JP Reed, Lloyd Weaver, Martha Reed, Vince Weaver, Mildred Weaver, and Buford Weaver.
A visitation in honor of Luther will be held on November 9, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the 1:00 PM Celebration of Life at Freeman Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all those who knew Luther are invited to join in remembering a remarkable man whose legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
