Maggie Jane Orso

Mrs. Maggie Jane Orso, 79, a native and resident of McIntosh, Alabama passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was a teacher’s assistant for many years at Reed’s Chapel Elementary School. She was a faithful member of Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling and shopping in her spare time. Mrs. Orso was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence IV Orso. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Judy (Wade) Johnson, Clara (Johnny) Johnston, Don (Ann) Orso, Kathy (Perry) Wilkerson, Del (Charles) Searcy, Patsy (Elvin, Jr.) Reed, Ricky (Debbie) Orso, Sr., Janet (Michael) Eddings, and Sue (Kenny) Barnes; sister, Minnie Reed; two brothers, McClinton Snow and I.C. Snow; eighteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The Wake will be Friday, August 23, 2013 from 6-9 pm at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be 2 pm Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Turner officiating. Interment will be in Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Johnson, Johnny Johnston, Jr., Holland Hilscher, Jr. Ricky Orso, Jr., Brannon Schaffer and William Wilkerson.
