Marion Roger Davis, Sr., affectionately known as Moby, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Jackson Medical Center. He was 65 years old. He was born October 28, 1951 to Leroy and Sallie Davis, and was of the Holiness faith. Moby worked at DuPont Chemical Plant for over twenty years. He retired from Zachary Construction Company. Moby loved to spend his pastime coon hunting, deer hunting, fishing, and doing other outdoor activities. He was an avid Alabama football and NASCAR fan. He especially loved Tony Stewart. Within the past three years he devoted his time as a grandfather and thoroughly enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Moby was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Moby was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnny Davis; and sister, Lourinda Ebersole. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 35 years, Maria G. Davis; children, Tabitha Dixon, Heather Orso, and Roger Davis, Jr.; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Lorraine Messemore; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Moby from 6pm until 9pm Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Happy Gospel Field Holiness Church. The funeral will be held at 2pm Friday, April 14, 2017, at Happy Gospel Field Holiness Church with Rev. Chad Orso, Rev. Eddie Rivers, and Rev. Donald Turner officiating.
