Mart Allen Reed, Sr.

Mart Allen Reed, Sr., born on December 19, 1963 passed away on December 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Known to many for his playful nature and being the life of the party, Mart brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His helpful spirit and infectious sense of humor will be remembered fondly by family and friends alike.

Mart cherished his role as a father and grandfather, finding pride and joy in his children: Edward Lofton, Kelsi Reed, Megan Waddill (Tyler), and Allen Reed (Kelly). He adored his grandchildren, Duncan Reed, Liam, Asher, Rylan, Brantley, and Saylor, embracing each moment spent with them. The strength of his family was undoubtedly one of Mart's proudest accomplishments.

A man of varied interests, Mart found solace in listening to blues and country music, fishing, boat riding, and cooking. These hobbies not only reflected his zest for life but also the warmth he shared with loved ones during gatherings and celebrations.

Mart is also survived by his siblings: Cody Rivers (Linda), Jody Rivers (Glenda), Ronnie Reed (Sharon), Joel Reed (Tracey), and Bruce Reed (Sissy). He will be dearly missed by them as well as by many other relatives and friends who were fortunate to have known him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis "Bo" and Mary Alice Reed, who welcomed him into the arms of eternal peace.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service at Magnolia Holiness Church on Friday, December 13, 2024. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.

Mart Allen Reed, Sr. will be remembered not only for his laughter and light but also for the love he imparted to his family and friends, a testament to the life he lived and the connections he fostered throughout his journey.
