Martha Mae Taylor

Mrs. Martha Mae Taylor, 79, a resident of Silas, AL died Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital Jackson in Jackson, MS. She was born Tuesday, January 19, 1932 in Washington County, AL. She attended Silas First Baptist Church and was a hard-worker, having worked many years as a machine operator at various factories and other places. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her father, Jessie Touchstone; mother, Ida Mae Wood Touchstone; 2 brothers, Otis Touchstone and J. L. Touchstone; sister, Lettie Stokley. She is survived by her husband, Lymon E. "Toby" Taylor of Silas, AL; son, Ricky Dailey of Lucedale, MS; 3 step-daughters, Vicky Williams and Wanda T. Byrd, both of Citronelle, AL and Joanna McGrew of Silas, AL; brother, Prentiss Touchstone of Pensacola, FL; sister, Mae H. Toomey of State Line, MS; 3 sisters in law, Ann Helton of Mobile, AL, Bonnie Touchstone of Pensacola, FL and Voncile Touchstone of Robertsdale, AL; 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great-grandchild. Visitation for Mrs. Taylor will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Sunday, February 6, 2011 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 07, 2011 from the Silas First Baptist Church in Silas, AL with Rev. Don Whigham and Rev. Bobby Reddin officiating. Interment will be in Edgar Cemetery, Silas, AL.
