Marvin Prentis Buckley, Jr., age 49, of Chunchula, AL., died Monday, March 11, 2013, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Prentis Buckley, Sr. and Perlie Genever Tarver Buckley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katie L. Stagner Buckley; sons, Marvin Prentis Buckley, III, Nicholas Ray Buckley and William Joel Spears; daughters, Kaitlyn Ann Buckley and Perlie Grace Buckley; brothers, Mark Perry (Cindy) Buckley and James Ray (April) Buckley; sisters, Janie (Tom) Waters, Sharon (Joey) Williams, Rose (Randy) Shirah and Linda Sue (John) Bostrum; three grandchildren, Michael, Hailey and Bentley; best friend and father figure, Jr. Beck; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. The Wake will be 6 - 9 pm Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Freeman Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be at 11 am Friday, March 15, 2013 from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tom Dees officiating. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
