Mary Jane Holland

Mary Jane Holland, a resident of Deer Park, Alabama, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. She was 84 years old. Mary Jane was born in Citronelle, Alabama, on April 5, 1939. She was married to Dennis Holland for 66 years. Mary Jane lived a full life as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Her interests included politics, sewing, cooking, volunteering in the community, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Holland, daughter, Charlene Loper; grandson, Dennis Loper; brothers, William “Billy” Ramey, James “Buddy” Ramey, Allen Ramey, sisters Judy Ramey and Johnnie Fay Guy, Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Judy and Donnie Cunningham, Carol and Michael Snurkowski, Dennis Jr. and Wyllene Holland, Darryl Holland, Patricia and Bryan Bernard, Mary and Jean Rathle, Sam Holland and Bobby Carpenter; grandchildren, Don Cunningham, Rob Hayes, Robby Loper, Amy Cunningham, Darla Hayes, Amber Holland, Chris Holland, Ashley McCasland, Joe Bernard, Daniel Holland, Adam Rathle, Marla Bernard, Weston Holland, Nicholas Rathle, Jon Parker Holland; 21 great grandchildren;  two sisters, Debbie Hosford and Kim Lindell; two brothers, Bobby Ramey and Jody Ramey; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday August 20, 2023 from 6 pm until 8 pm at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. The funeral service will be 11 am at Shiloh Baptist Church in Deer Park on Monday, August 21, 2023 with Bro. Donnie Cunningham officiating. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
