Mary Jeanette Rowell, a native of Chatom and a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was 72 years old. Jeanette loved the Lord and going to church. Her Christian faith shown throughout her life by the way she loved her family and friends. Her family was her life and she loved taking care of them, especially her children and grandchildren, as well as her fur babies. Her husband, Malcolm, was her best friend and the two of them loved spending time with family and friends. Not only did Jeanette never meet a stranger, but she was also never afraid to lend a helping hand to those in need and was loyal to the end. Jeanette was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Malcolm Rowell; children, Barry Phillips (Angie), Heather DeLapp (Jim), and Jay Rowell (Sonia); grandchildren, Zachary Phillips, Connor Phillips, Kinley Phillips, Audrey Hudson, Lucy Hudson, Townes Hudson, and Toby Rowell; great-grandchild, August; other relatives; and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Saturday, September 17, 2022, at New Home Baptist Church with Bro. Jeff Bryant and Bro. Tanner Rowell officiating. Burial will follow in New Home Cemetery. Pallbearers include Townes Hudson, Toby Rowell, Connor Phillips, Zachary Phillips, Michael Byrd, and Joey Rowell.
