Mary Kathleen Shoemaker

Mary Kathleen Young Shoemaker, 65, a native of Keithsburg, Illinois and longtime resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at her home. She retired from Hertz Car Rentals and was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting in her spare time and loved caring for her dogs and cats. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Shoemaker and infant son, Jeremy and her father, John Edward Young. Those left to cherish her memory is her son, Samuel Young (Elizabeth); grandson, Jonathan Young; mother, Esther Reckhemmer; sisters, Cindy Nees, Debbie Swank, Tammy Hirst and Terri Grimm; brother, Tony Reckhemmer; other relatives and friends.
