Mary Louise Pharez

Mary Louise Pharez, a native of Fairford, Alabama and resident of Calvert and Mobile, Alabama, passed away on April 20, 2017 at a local health facility. She was employed by General Motors Acceptance Corporation for many years until her retirement. She was a dedicated Christian and longtime member of Calvert Baptist Church where she faithfully taught Sunday school and served in many ministries as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents, Judson and Brucie Pharez; brothers, Herman, Jack and Bennett Pharez. She is survived by her sister, Lila Horton; nephews, Herman Pharez, Jr. and Leonard Horton; niece, Julie Ellis; great nephew, David Ellis; great nieces, Anna Gavins and Charity Horton; and her best friend, Jack Nichols. The family would like to give a special “thank you” to her caregiver, Rebecca Williams. The funeral service will be held at Calvert Baptist Church on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 4:00pm, with visitation beginning at 3:00pm with Rev. Clay Lewis and Rev. Jim O’Neal officiating.
