Matthew Reed

Matthew Reed, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed in peace at Springhill Memorial Hospital on September 15, 2021 at the age of 67. He was born on January 4, 1954, to Mae Bell Reed and Judson Reed. Matthew was a good carpenter. He loved his tractor and working on his property.

Matthew was preceded in death by his siblings, Willis Johnston, Wallace Johnston, Cleve Reed, and twin sister Mary Reed.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Wallace Reed, Tracy Walker, Claudia ''Lisa'' Reed, Amanda Reed and Kayla Everett; beloved grandchildren, Jayland Reed, Meagan Reed, Grant Walker, Ashton Walker, Chelsea Marlar, Sumer Everett; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Audrey Johnston, James Johnston, Donald Reed, and Carl Reed; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Friday, September 24, 2021, at Charity Chapel Assembly of God with Reverend Mike Reid and Pastor Doug Fairchild officiating. He will be laid to rest at Red Wash Cemetery.
