Mavis Louise Rivers, 69, a native and resident of Washington County, Alabama passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Providence Hospital. She was a homemaker and member of Charity Chapel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, attending church and spending time with her family and good friends, Karen and Ida. She was preceded in death by her brother, Joel "PeeWee" Johnston. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Raymond A. Rivers and Jimmy Quinn Rivers; daughter, Tracy Rivers Robinson; grandchildren, Lisa Danielle, Taylor, Stephen and Rodney; great grandchildren, Crimson and Tide; brother, Joseph Johnston; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Charity Chapel Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in Charity Chapel Cemetery.
