Maylana “May Baby” Weaver, 70, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away at her home Tuesday, March 01, 2016. May Baby loved to dance and sing. She loved Loretta Lynn and Elvis Presley and loved to have a good time with her family and friends. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, William Hale Lipscomb; and her brother George McCary Lipscomb. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jewitt Vertis Weaver; daughter, Bettye Lynn Byrd Bedgood (Kenneth); daughter, Hattie Charlene Weaver; son, Larue Earl Weaver; thirteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; mother, Hattie Virginia Reed; siblings, Elgin Willard Lipscomb, Teresa Virginia Weaver, Carol Lipscomb Byrd, Lazonia Bernice Rivers, Juanita Lipscomb Sullivan, Bobby Sylvester Lipscomb, Barbara Ann Sullivan, and Scarlett Annette Orso; special friend, Sylvester Lowry; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Saturday, March 05, 2016, at Rivers of Living Water Church in Mount Vernon with Bro. Eddie Rivers officiating.
