Mcarthur Byrd

McArthur Byrd, Sr., 71, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile, Alabama. He was a member of Saint Theresa Catholic Church and a retired logger. McArthur loved working, driving his log truck and spending time with his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Jennie Byrd; children, McArthur Byrd, Jr. (Brenda), Robert Byrd and Sarah Weaver; grandchildren, Courtney, Ella, Sarina, Andrew and Trey; great grandchildren, Celsie, Kirstin and A. J.; siblings, Lem Byrd, John Byrd, Howard Byrd, Purvis Byrd and Jeanette Weaver; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, April 22, 2016 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church from 10am until 11am. The Mass of Resurrection will be held 11am, Friday, April 22, 2016 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church with Rev. John Lynes, celebrant. Burial will follow in Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Alabama.
