Michael Moore, lovingly known as Mike "Pop" to his family and friends, passed away on July 21, 2024 at his home holding his wife's hand and surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Born on November 2, 1946, Mike led a remarkable life filled with love, faith, and kindness.

A Vietnam War veteran who served two tours as a Navy Seabee, Mike was known for his unwavering commitment to his country and community. He began his career with the painters union before establishing his own paint contracting business, which he successfully nurtured for 40 years. His proudest accomplishments include being the best husband, father, and grandfather "Pop" to many. He found great joy in spending time with his loved ones and sharing his wisdom as a Sunday School teacher for numerous years. He was a member of Planted Oaks Church. It was important to him for everyone to have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ.

In his leisure time, Mike enjoyed various hobbies, such as, bass fishing in his Bullet bass boat, traveling to his grandchildren's sporting events, bird watching, and cruising around in his beloved Corvette. His fond memories include family trips to Disney World and the simple pleasure of spending quality time with those he held dear. He enjoyed opening his home to everyone associated with those he loved.

Mike's warm personality endeared him to all who crossed his path. Described as a friendly soul who never met a stranger, he will be remembered for his kind heart and genuine compassion.

Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Sue Ellen Moore; loving daughter, Stacey Moore Hall (Jason); cherished grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Jacob Hall, and Trevor Newton (Caren); adorable great-grandson, Asher; caring siblings, Danny Moore (Mary), Wanda Healy (Ned), and Scotty Moore (Vicky); many nieces and nephews; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
