Michael Wayne Jones

Michael Wayne "Mike" Jones, born August 21, 1948, in Carlisle, Kentucky, passed away October 27, 2020. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, farming, and working hard to provide for his family. Mike was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ethylen Jones; father, Rex Jones; and sister, Rexanne Jones. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 35 years, Luverne Jones; children, Melissa Jones, Rebekah Jones, Jennifer Jones-Grigsby, Vickie Weaver (Scott), and Cliff Covington (Pamela); eleven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. Mike had a special bond with his grandson, Caleb Weaver, who will miss him and cherish his memory. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service on Thursday, November 05, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Willie Long, Jr. officiating.
