Mildred Catherine Ellis Turner, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Citronelle Convalescent Center. She worked as secretary at Mobile County Road and Bridge and was a member of Living Word Church in Citronelle. Mildred loved to go to church, go fishing and kept her house in immaculate condition. She was known as a great cook by all who ever had the opportunity to eat one of her meals. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Gordon Davis. Left to cherish her memory, her husband of 35 years, Ervin D. Turner; children, Robert Morris (Nancy) Gordon, Jr., Deborah Gordon Spann, Connie Gordon (Alan) Isler, Walter (Carol) Turner, Rickey (Carolyn) Turner, Karen (Marc) Hobbs; 17 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Saturday September 12, 2015 from 10am until the 11am funeral service at Living Word Church with Rev. Marcus Hobbs and Rev. Rickey Turner officiating. Active pallbearers, David Reed, III, Robert Steven Isler, Robert Nolan Gordon, Jonathan Alan Isler, Gerritt Morris Gordon and Stuart Vernon Gordon. Honorary pallbearers, John Hobbs, Jeremy Hobbs, Walt Turner, Richard Isler, Jr., Kolby Isler and Garrett Lott. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.
