Minnie Mae Turner Hough, 86 of Citronelle, AL. died on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at a local hospital. Minnie was born in Citronelle, AL. on May 11, 1924. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hough, parents John David Turner and Minnie Cook Turner, brothers, Charlie Turner, Elmer Turner and John D. Turner, Jr., sisters, Addie Mason and Edna Hill. She is survived by her son, Bobby (Debbie) Grandquest of Citronelle, AL; daughter, Shirley Travis of Loxley, AL.; brother, Ervin Turner and sister, Myrtle Blount, both of Citronelle, AL.; five grandchildren, Sheree James, Shelba Rowell, Dana Dees, Robby Grandquest and Shanna Chafin; nine great grandchildren; five great, great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Minnie was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Citronelle and the Order of the Eastern Star organization. Minnie worked in the retail industry for 25 years, after which she became a caregiver to the elderly. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the 2PM Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robby Grandquest, Bear Grandquest, Joseph James, Brandon James, Ray James and Taylor Rowell.
