Mitford Henry "Mit" Merritt

Mr. Mitford Henry "Mit" Merritt, 85, of Citronelle, AL. died January, 1, 2012. He was a World War II Navy Veteran, and a superintendent with Citronelle-Mobile Gathering System and South Alabama Utilities, member of Citronelle United Methodist Church, charter member of Citronelle Men's Golf Association, American Legion Past Commander, Shriner, Mason and Kiwanis. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon Yancey. Survivors are his wife, Amy Merritt; sons, Mitford H. "Mit" (Pat) Merritt, Jr. and Vince Yancey; daughter, Ramona Merritt; brother, Marvin O. (Betty) Merritt, Jr.; grandchildren, Kyle, Clint, Lori, Matt, Mariah, Layla; great grandchildren, Austin, Owen, Logan, Noah, McKayla, Kaleb, Kendall, Bonnie, Michael, Brooklyn. A Memorial Service will be 11 am Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Citronelle United Methodist Church.
