Morris  "Jack" Everett

Mr. Morris “ Jack” Everett, 83, a resident of Greene County, MS passed away Friday, June 21, 2013, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, AL. Mr. Everett was born on June 12, 1930 in Washington County, AL. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. He started his career working for Alabama Power shortly after graduating from Leakesville High School. After twelve years, he took a job with Polyengineering Company in engineering and construction for sixteen years. He finished his career by retiring as Director of South Alabama Utilities after twenty years at the age of 69. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Pearl (Gardner) Everett, parents; Dave and Liday Everett, brothers; Dick Everett, Wesley (Lula) Everett, Ernest (Lilly May) Everett and Wiley Everett, sisters; Hett (Oscar) Dixon and Nancy (Talt) Beard. He is survived by his two sons; Jimmie D. (Vickie) Everett, John (Marie) Everett, both of Leakesville, MS, two daughters; Eva Moody of Bay Minette, AL, Carol (Steve) Ladner of Leakesville, MS, thirteen grandchildren; Josh (Maygan) Everett, Susan (Scott) Brocious, Emily Everett, Paul Moody, David Moody, Caleb Ladner, Andrew Ladner, Brandon Ladner, Stephanie Ladner, Morris Ray Everett, Taylor Everett, Jasper Everett and Travis Everett,six great grandchildren; Lily, Lydia and Jacob Everett, Zane and Jase Brocious, and Daniel Moody. Survivors also include a host of nieces, nephews and long time childhood friend, Dorvan Turner. The Wake will be Monday, June 24, 2013 from 6 pm until at Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. The funeral service will be at 2 pm Tuesday, June 25 2013 at the Church with Rev. Darnell Minyard officiating. Interment will be in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
