Morris Rivers

Morris Rivers, affectionately known as Bud, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was 73 years old. Bud loved the Lord and loved going to church as well as spending time with his family, watching wrestling, and going to the beach. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Dan and Carrie Rivers; and siblings, Jesse Rivers and Danny Rivers. Those left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Maxwell Rivers Sr. (Nyoka), Rebecca Rivers, Marian Rivers, Connie Rivers, and Lillie Steiner (Gary); nieces and nephews, Maxwell Rivers Jr. (Brandi), Brad Reed, Elisha Reed (Waylon), Kristin Weaver (Randall), Jesse Rivers (Ashley), and Daniel Rivers; a host of great nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. A wake will be held for Morris from 6pm until 9pm on Thursday, September 27, 2018, at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2pm Friday, September 28, 2018, at Reed’s Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Nick Williams, Bro. Chad Orso, and Bro. Sammie Rivers officiating.
