Myrtle Aileen Duncan Craddock, age 89, a resident of Livingston, AL died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at her son's home in Citronelle, AL. She was born December 27, 1922 in Turon Community, Itawamba County, Mississippi to Lester Earl and Myrtle Iona Knight Duncan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles B. Craddock; son, Charles O. Craddock; sisters, Evelyn Johnson, Bettye Estes; dear friend, Lucille Allen. A graduate from East Tupelo High School and she received her B.A. Degree from Blue Mountain College. She started her 33 year teaching career at Greenville, TN and taught in Verona, MS, Plantersville, MS, Napier Field, AL, Dothan, AL, Columbia, AL and York, AL where she organized Kindergarten and Day Care at Sumter Academy, she also served with her minister husband for 49 years in six states as Sunday School Teacher, Youth Choir Director, Substitute Pianist, Choir Member, and Encourager. She is survived by her sons; Philip (Katie) Craddock of Headland, AL, Danny Craddock of Livingston, AL, Timothy (Marie) Craddock of Cuba, AL, Mark (Regina) Craddock of Citronelle, AL, daughter-in-law; Naima Craddock of Elizabeth City, NC; grandsons; Nelson (Kasey) Craddock, Carter Craddock, Duncan Craddock, granddaughters; Devan (Wes) Grayson, Lauren (Aaron) Kerchner, Jordan Craddock, Karla Craddock; great grandsons; Austin and Hunter, great granddaughters; Stella Kate and Nora Beth; brother, Buddy Duncan of Tupelo, MS; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 10am until the 11am funeral at York United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Siloam Cemetery with Rev. Philip D. Craddock and Rev. John R. Evangelista officiating. Active pallbearers will be her sons, grandsons and Andy Young. Honorary pallbearers will be minister's wives of the Demopolis District of the United Methodist Church, fellow teachers and former kindergarten student of Sumter Academy, Elise Edwards and Rosetta Mack.
