Nellie Weaver

Nellie Weaver, 68, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at her residence in Mount Vernon, Alabama. She retired from the Mobile County Public School System after 23 years where she worked at Belsaw Middle School and Calcedeaver Elementary School in the cafeteria. Nellie loved to sew, cook, and do projects around the house and spend time and raise children. She was a member of Simple House of Praise Church and a mother to the whole community. She was preceded in death by her husband, Zack Griffin Weaver, parents, Fred and Louise Weaver, siblings, Willard Weaver, Donald P. Weaver, Josephine Weaver, Jettie Weaver. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Aaron (Vanessa) Weaver, Zack (Cindy) Weaver, Spencer (Susan) Weaver; daughter, Dorothy (John) Byrd; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Ted (Jeanette) Weaver, Wilson Weaver; sisters, Lillie (Daffy) Weaver, Juanita Weaver, Rita (Joe) Goodman; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, January 12, 2015 from 10am until the 11am funeral service at Simple House of Praise Church with Rev. Greg Kirkwood and Rev. Sonny Scarbrough officiating.
