Nina Minamino Papis

Nina Minamino Papis, 89, a native of Osaka, Japan and longtime resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away peacefully on Thursday, May, 11, 2017 at Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle. She owned and operated Nina’s Beauty Shop for many years. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and loved to fellowship with her Senior Adult Ladies Sunday school class. Nina loved her dogs and gardening. Nina was preceded in death by her husband, John Elbert Papis. She was loved very much and will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially by her loving family, Joy Herring (Robert); Timothy Herring and Ashley Herring; Robert Imms (Joan); Pamela Brewer (Jody); Abby, Lindsey and Levi; Tony Imms (Beth); Richard Imms (Pat); Chris Imms (Elizabeth); Maxwell; Jenny Gregory; Emma, Isabella and Bailey; other relatives, friends and her “family” at Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am Funeral Service on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Stan Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
