Noel Stewart Reed

Noel Stewart Reed, born on January 5, 1947, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at Crowne Healthcare of Citronelle. He never met a stranger and was known for his genuine kindness. Noel a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life touched many and whose memory will be held dear by all who knew him.

Noel's love for the outdoors was evident throughout his life; he enjoyed his days fishing and exploring nature. His curiosity about the world was reflected in his fondness for watching National Geographic on television, where he often found adventure from the comfort of his home. Noel also found joy in listening to gospel music, which provided him comfort and inspiration.

Noel took immense pride in his family, especially in his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved children: Stewart O'Brien Reed, Kimberly Smith (Ken), Bill Watson (Jessica), and Delia Morrison (Dwight). His legacy continues through his twelve grandchildren, who brought him great joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Benjamin Reed, Esther Stewart, and Agnus Echols, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, all of whom will miss his warm presence and gentle spirit. Noel was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind Lynn Reed, who was a central figure in his life, and his parents, Clifford and Delphine Reed. He was also preceded by his brothers, Jean Parker Reed, Elvin Reed, and Infant Roy Reed.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 2:00 PM until the 3:00 PM Funeral Service at Magnolia Holiness Church with Bro. Ike Reed and Bro. Joe Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery. 

Noel Stewart Reed will be remembered for his kindness, his love for his family, and the many ways he enriched the lives of those around him. May his soul rest in peace.
