Nollie Raymond “Tood” Dees, Sr., 76, a resident of Vinegar Bend, Alabama passed away at his home on Saturday, June 29, 2019. He retired from Ciba Specialty for over 30 years and was a member of the Washington County Board of Education and of Shiloh Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming, Alabama football, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Dees, Sr. and Ethel Loper Dees; brothers, Clifford Dees, Jr. and Roy Edward Dees, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 57 years, Brenda Dees; sons, Ray Dees (Kim) and David Dees (Stacy); daughter, Bridgett Turner (Randy); seven grandchildren, Andrew Turner, Shelby Wells, Whitney Dees, Bethany Dees, Lainey Dees, Morgan Dees and Gunner Dees; four great grandchildren, Emma, Rylan, Bella and Graham; sister, Sherry Crager; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9 pm Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church. The funeral service will be 3 pm Monday, July 1, 2019 with Rev. Tom Dees and Dr. Elbert Charpie officiating.
