Nora Ann Patrick, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama, passed away Sunday, January 01, 2023, at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. She was 77 years old. Nora had many affectionate names given to her: Mom, Gran, Granny, and Nora Baby are all names she has lovingly been called. She was a devoted member of Malcolm Baptist Church and lived out her ministry through sending out countless cards of encouragement to the people she loved and cared for. Nora always put aside any want or need she ever had to give to and to help others. If anyone ever needed anything that she was able to give, she would give it. Even her family and friends would agree. Oh, what a legacy to live your life loving God, asking to be used to bless others and interceding prayer for others!
Towards the end of her life's journey, Nora's health problems began to wear on her, often keeping her tired throughout the day. Through all this, she thought a lot about eternity and a time when she wouldn't have that worn out body holding her down. She looked forward to ''breakfast with Jesus'' and that glorious day she would leave behind that shell that sustained her for 77 years and take on a new, shining, strong body that will last an eternity.
On Sunday, she was welcomed to a perfect place by family and friends whose lives she had touched and those lives God touched through her. She was preceded in eternity by her loving husband, Alton; son, Joe; mother and father, Martha Ann and Luther Wright; sisters, Memrie and Jeanette; and brother, Billy.
Nora planted seeds that are here and continue to bloom and grow today: her daughters, Clara and Kay (Todd); grandchildren, Brittani (Adam), John (Ali), Amy, AJ, Courtney, and Bo; great grandchildren, Avalyn, Andrew, Colt, Kirbie, Lauren, and KC; siblings, Betty Jo Daugherty, Donna Webb, Bobby Wright, and Doug Wright; other relatives; and many friends.
The family will receive friends from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Friday, January 06, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Webber officiating. Burial will follow in Charity Chapel Cemetery. Precious memories and condolences may be left at www.freemancitronelle.com. Freeman Funeral Home - Citronelle, Alabama
