Mr. Opra Reed, 62, of Semmes, AL, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Spring Hill Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Rivers Baptist Church in McIntosh. He loved Alabama football and playing dogs at the dog track. He also loved making people laugh, and was a loving and caring man. He especially loved all of his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaines and Queeney Reed; one brother and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; and his first wife, Marilyn Sullivan; sons, Terry and Elliot Reed, and Jeremy Roberts; daughters, Christy Beck and Kayla Riley; brothers, Carl V. and Tex Reed; sisters, Grable Weaver, Sandra Weaver, Lucille Weaver, Wanda Reed, and Ormatha Rester; grandchildren, Madison, Pricelyn, Curtis, Justin, Jada, and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Addison, Gracie, Camden, and Riott; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

A wake will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Freeman Funeral Home 6- 9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Rivers Baptist Church at 1 pm with Bro. Sammy Rivers and Bro. Nick Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Reeds Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be given at www.freemancitronelle.com.
