Oscar Ray Beech, 82, a resident of Deer Park, Alabama passed away Tuesday October 8, 2019 at Springhill Medical Center. Ray was born on May 5, 1937 to Chester John Beech and Oda Mae Beech. Ray served in the United States Army Reserve. He retired from Scott Paper Company with 32 years of service where he worked in Maintenance and was a first responder. Ray was an outdoorsman and enjoyed farming, hunting, riding horses and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed sitting on the back porch with his wife Carolyn and family, drinking coffee and solving the problems of the world. Ray was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Johnnie Coffman and his daughter, Kathy M. Walker. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59+ years, Carolyn Beech; daughter, Kim Farris (Steve); son, Mitch Beech (Ann); five grandchildren, Wade Ramey (Xamana), Nikki Swanson (Shawn), Dustin Beech (Ashley), Kelsey Garcia (Raimond) and Daniel Walker; three great grandchildren, Gabe, Gavin and Macie; sisters, Carolyn Nielson and Earlene Goldman; other relatives and friends. A wake will be from 6-9 pm Friday, October 11, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 11am Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Dr. Elbert Charpie and Rev.
