Oscar Travis Reed, Sr.

Oscar Travis Reed, Sr., 77, a resident of McIntosh, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center. He was a retired truck driver and was affiliated with Happy Gospel Field Assembly of God Church. Oscar loved fishing, watching college football and wrestling. He was the youngest and last surviving of eleven children born to Harry and Uria Reed. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Carolyn Faye Reed. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Oscar Travis Reed, Jr. (Sharman), Robert Trampis Reed, Sr. (Melanie), and Sallie Dianna Weaver (Lewis); grandchildren, Heather (Ronnie), Jasmine, Oscar, III, Julian Faye, Robyn, Hannah, Robert, Jr., Kristina, Brandon, Destiny, and Lewis; great grandchildren, Trent and Jasalyn; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held 6pm-9pm, Friday, April 15, 2016 at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral will be held 11am, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Happy Gospel Field Assembly of God Church with Rev. Percy Carl Rivers and Rev. Kendall Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Reed’s Chapel Cemetery. Online register available at www.freemancitronelle.com.
