Pamela "Pam" Busby, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on July 1, 2024 at USA Health University Hospital. She was born on August 20,1957. Pam dedicated 25 years of her life to her career a pipefitter, demonstrating perseverance and skill in her work.

Known for her outspoken nature, unwavering persistence, and independent spirit, Pam will be remembered for her loyalty and motherly care towards her loved ones. Her vibrant personality shone through in her diverse interests which included sightseeing, embracing Indian culture, caring for animals, horseback riding, drawing, gardening, watching Alabama football games, and admiring white Chevrolet trucks.

Pam's proudest accomplishments were undoubtedly her children and grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her surviving family members: children, Corey Franklin Rivers, Cameron Dewayne Taylor (Jessica), and Devin James Paul Busby; grandchildren, Isabella, Ava, Noah, Paisleigh, Dawson, and Henleigh; mothers, Merina Jean Sanders and Nora Taylor; sister, Kim Lipani; close friends, Sherry Reed Dean, Cindy Whitehat, Renee Shepherd, and Sheryl Weaver; along with numerous other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Will Taylor; grandmother, Bertha Taylor; and her son, Ryan Rivers.

In Pam's memory, a wake will be held on July 5th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on July 6th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church in Mount Vernon. A funeral service will follow on July 6th at 11:00 AM at the same location with Rev. Roger Perkins and Rev. Charles Gambrell officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Community Cemetery. Pam's final journey honors the life she led filled with love for her family and passions that brought joy to those around her.

Pamela Busby touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. May she rest in peace knowing that she is cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
