Pat Odell James, age 56, a native of Paducah, TX and resident of Saraland, AL., died Thursday, October 7, 2010, at Springhill Medical Center. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he received the Rifle Marksman Badge, National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Mr. James worked many years on an oil rig. He is preceded in death by his father, William Judson James and brother, David James. He is survived by his mother, Bobbie J. Meinhardt of Citronelle; companion of many years, Marie Minchew; two daughters, Nikera James of Lafayette, LA. and P.J. Parnell of Tibbie, AL.; son, Kegan James; three brothers, Michael James, Robbin Meinhardt, and Roger (Tracie) Meinhardt, all of Citronelle, AL.; sister, Jamie (Ricky) Higby of Montgomery, AL; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM Funeral Service on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Bates officiating. Interment will be in Brethren Cemetery in Citronelle, AL.
