Patricia Ann Evans, a beloved member of her family and community, was born on January 29, 1939. She departed this life on February 10, 2025, at the Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Patricia was a very loving woman, embodying the true essence of compassion and warmth throughout her 86 years. She dedicated her life to her family, who were the center of her existence. Her proudest accomplishments revolved around her role as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Patricia's deep faith and genuine love for the Lord guided her in every aspect of her life.
Her interests included the joys of gardening and the art of cooking, passions that not only brought her happiness but also filled the homes of her loved ones with warmth and nourishment. Generations will remember the love she poured into her meals and the vibrant beauty of her gardens, both of which reflected her nurturing spirit.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Hubert Evans; her children, Greg Evans, Andal Johnson, Lacy Jelane Sheffield (Billy), Andy Evans (Sommerly), and Racheal Etheredge (Michael); her grandchildren, Kandace, Kaitlyn, Hayley, Hannah, Megan, Ryan, Natalie, Riley, Gabriella, Gracie, and Molly; as well as her great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ollie, Daniel, Barrett, Eli, Connor, Lily, Jett, Brigg, Addie, and Elijah. These family members will continue to carry her memory and values forward in their lives.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James "Jimbo" and Minnie Patrick; her father and mother-in-law, George and Minne Evans; her son-in-law, Allen Johnson; her granddaughter, Allie Etheredge; and her siblings, James Patrick, Mary Alice Bozeman, Betty Jean Loper, and Maxine Curtis.
Patricia's kindness, faith, and fierce devotion to her family will remain an enduring source of inspiration. Her resilience and love for those around her will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and community alike.
A visitation to celebrate Patricia's life will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Billy Ray Robinson officiating. A private burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery for immediate family.
