Paul Holt

Mr. Paul Holt, age 72, a native of Fayette County, AL, passed away at his residence in Mount Vernon, AL on Saturday, August 3, 2013. Mr. Holt was US Army, Vietnam Veteran, a member of Lockler Memorial Baptist Church, retired from Searcy Hospital, and enjoyed woodworking, fishing and Alabama Football. He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children Nixie Holt. He is survived by his wife, Pat Holt; daughter, Wendy (Kevin) Marquitz; Sons, Terry (Vicki) Holt, Scotty Holt (Kendra Strenth), Dennis Holt (Rebecca Milstead), Clint (Kelly) Connett; twelve grandchildren; canine companion, Fancy; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held 6-8pm Monday, August 5, 2013, at Freeman Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Lockler Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Vernon Community Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lockler Memorial Baptist Church General Fund.
