Peggy Myers Matthews

Peggy Myers Matthews, age 69, a native of Lockhart, AL and resident of Citronelle, AL., died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at her residence. She was a member of Citronelle United Methodist Church. She was owner of Frank's Pawn and Gun Shop for many years and also worked at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Frank Matthews and her daughter, Sandra Matthews Hare. She is survived by her son, James R. (Georgia Schneider) Myers of Spanish Fort, AL.; her daughter, Stephanie Matthews Sciocchetti of Robertsdale, AL; her grandchildren, Kara Johanna Myers, Jamie Lauren Myers, Joel Richard Myers, Avery Elizabeth Myers, Meagan Danielle Hare, and Madison Claire Sciocchetti; her niece and special caregiver, Linda Mason and other relatives and friends. A wake will be from 6 PM to 9 PM on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Freeman Funeral Home in Citronelle. The Funeral service will be at Citronelle United Methodist Church at 11 AM on Friday, April 2, 2010 with Rev. M. Kathryn Knight officiating. Interment will be at Pine Crest Cemetery in Citronelle, AL.
