Percy Rivers

Mr. Percy Rivers, 85, a native and resident of McIntosh, Alabama died August 4, 2013 at a local hospital. He was a logger in the timber industry. He was preceded in death by his son, Alfred William Rivers and great grandson, ''Lil Jack''. Left to cherish his memory, wife, Jessie Mae Rivers; three sons, Jerry Morris Rivers, Percy Carl Rivers and Charles Leno Rivers; two daughters, Mary Walthall and Betty Brett; daughter-in-law, Jewel Rivers; nine grandchildren, Jessie, Tiny, Percy Carl, Jr., Melanie, Barron, Hattie, Carlynn, Martina and Patrick; great grandchildren, Marilyn, Percy Carl III, Heather, Christopher, Julian Fay, Robin, Hannah, Robert, Jr., Timothy, Triston, Talon, Shayna, Jayla and Karrington; two great-great grandchildren, Natalie and Marianna. The Wake will be from 6 - 9:30 pm on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Magnolia Holiness Church. The Funeral Service will be 1 pm on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the church with Rev. Sid Stewart, Rev. John Stringfellow and Rev. Kendall Turner officiating. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
