Phill Perrel ''P.J.'' Johnston, Jr., age 72, of Mount Vernon, AL, a retired pipefitter and member of Shalom Baptist Church, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Springhill Memorial Medical Center in Mobile, AL. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita ''PeeWee'' Johnston and grandson, Scott Lee Naselroad. He survived by his four daughters, Brenda Sasser, Wanda Weaver, Allie Paul, Ella Mae Naselroad, two sons, Phill Johnston, III , Randy Byrd, three sisters, Ruthie Ledger, Dorothy Weaver, Lavern Patrick, brother, -Isaac Johnston, nineteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 3pm Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Shalom Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Morton officiating. Interment will be at Byrd Cemetery in Mount Vernon, AL.
