Rebecca Ann Shamp

Rebecca Bru Shamp, 70, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at her residence in Turnerville, Alabama. Rebecca enjoyed traveling to the mountains and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her father, Giovanni Bru; child, Melanie; and sister, Carolyn Poiroux. Left to cherish her memory, her husband of 51 years, Nick Shamp, Sr.; mother, Helen Bru; children, Monica Covington (Ken), Nick Shamp, Jr., Dawn Stringer (Jason), Erin Pugh (Jason), Joshua Shamp (Somer), and Moriah Shamp; grandchildren, Chazz, Dawson, Drake, Riley, Chloe, Isabella, Kennedy, Heidi, Anniston, Gage, Gavin, Gabriella, Gracelee, Peyton, and Cruz; great grandchild, Railee Stringer; siblings, John Claude Bru, George Bru, Joe Bru, Michael Bru, Pete Bru, and Delores Bru; other relatives and friends. A wake will be held 6pm-8pm, Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Freeman Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held 10am Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Bru Family Cemetery with Rev.
