Richard Dwight ''Ricky'' Taylor, a resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama, passed away Thursday, October 07, 2021, peacefully at his home. He was 68 years old. He served in The United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. In his spare time, he loved to hunt, fish, garden, and watch Alabama football. He also loved to mechanic on old vehicles. Most of all, Ricky loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Taylor; mother, Ollie Taylor; brother, David Lee Taylor; and grandson, Case Ketchum.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jennifer Taylor and Jessica Taylor; grandchildren, Trent, Colby, Zacharias, Crimson, and Alaynna; brothers, Tommy Taylor and Ronald Weaver; mother of his children, Regina Lankford; and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2pm until the 3pm funeral service Monday, October 11, 2021, at Simple House of Praise Church with Rev. Dean Hopkins and Rev. Clay Lewis officiating.
