Richard Earl Werneth, a resident of Chunchula, Alabama, passed away Thursday, December 03, 2020, at his home. He was 52 years old. Richard was a department manager for Walmart for many years until he retired. He loved salt water fishing and watching Alabama football and the New Orleans Saints. Richard was preceded in death by his dad, Richard Edward Werneth; mom, Wanda Mims Long; brother, David William Werneth; sister, Paula Irene Werneth; and mother in law, Dagma Rutherford. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Renee Werneth; children, Brandon Werneth, Trey Werneth (Jordan), and Kayla Kubiak (Charles); grandchildren, Wyatt, Kaylee, Layla, Ally, Dominick, Scottie, Ashton, Olivia, Makenzie, KK, and CJ; father in law, Alfred Rutherford; siblings, James E. Long, Jr. (Deborah) and Paul E. Werneth (Cynthia); a host of nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at 1pm Friday, December 04, 2020, at Freeman Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2pm Friday, December 04, 2020, at Gulfcrest Cemetery with Rev. Maurice Williams officiating.
