Richard W. "Rickey" Best

Mr. Richard William “Rickey” Best, 57, a native of Evansville, Indiana and resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama passed away August 12, 2013 at his son’s residence. He retired from Scott Paper Company where he worked as a timber cruiser. He is survived by his son, Joseph D. (Jessica) Best; two daughters, Mia Best and Macy Best; companion, Frances Vick, all of Citronelle, Alabama; five grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Junior) Smith of Malcolm, Alabama; brother, Eddie (Charlotte) Best of Hayden, Alabama; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service at Freeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 with Rev. Johnnie Sims officiating. Interment will be in Byrd Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robbie Watts, Kaleb Watts, Jacob Watts, David Dunagan, Zachary Dunagan and Rick Ballou.
