Richard Wayne Orso, 61, a native of McIntosh, Alabama and resident of Mobile, Alabama passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Springhill Medical Center. Richard graduated in 1974 from McIntosh High School and enlisted in the United States Army. After four years of honorable service, he worked as a pipefitter and was a very hard worker. Richard was an avid LSU fan and enjoyed traveling, especially “spur of the moment” trips with his dad. Richard was raised old school and was very “head-strong”. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Orso and Dorothy Taylor Martin; and sister, Pearl “Sissy” Perrin. Those left to cherish his memory is his children, Amber Marie, Dorothy (John) and Linda; grandchildren, Danika, Charlotte, Kairan, Lorin, John III, Olivia, Brianna, Dustin, and Gracie; great grandchild, Makenna; dad, Robert Hughes; siblings, Fred Hughes, Bobby Hughes, Ronnie Orso, Pam Madero, Johnny Orso, Keith Orso, Lavelle Orso, and Phyllis Orso; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9pm Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Freeman Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Reeds Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Snow and Rev.
