Robert "Butch" McNealy, a cherished member of the community, passed away on April 10, 2025, at Crowne Health Care of Citronelle. Born on October 17, 1952, he was known for his outgoing personality, vibrant spirit, and knack for humor that brought joy to all who knew him.
For over a decade, Butch dedicated his talents as a welder at a shipyard, showcasing a strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He was deeply proud of his work and frequently spoke of the satisfaction it brought him.
Beyond his professional life, Butch lived for adventure. He had a passion for fishing and enjoyed traveling whenever the opportunity arose. One of his fondest pastimes was watching wrestling with his Godson, Brieson Weaver, creating moments that they both cherished.
Butch's strong faith was evident in his love for attending services at Happy Gospel Church, where he found a second family in his congregation. His memory will be honored during a visitation on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the 12:00 PM funeral service at the same church located at 967 Pat Ln Cir, McIntosh, AL, with Bro. Johnathan Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Reed's Chapel Cemetery.
He leaves behind his nephew, Mike Bennett (Sherry), along with best friends Nora Weaver and Nadine Byrd, and his Godson Brieson Weaver. Additionally, Butch is remembered by many relatives and friends who will miss his jovial nature and infectious laughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma McNealy; his sister, Ruth Shuler; and his brother, Earnest Bennett.
As we celebrate his life, we reflect on the joyful memories and the love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
