Robert Perl Monteith

Robert “Bob” Perl Monteith, known by most of his friends and family as “Yank”, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015, at North Mobile Nursing Home. Bob was 72 years old. He was a hard-working man who loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Yank loved spending time at the River and fixing old cars. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Roberts Monteith; parents; and 2 siblings. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Tammy Jackson, Dawn Monteith, and Stephen Richardson; step children, Donna (Keith) Walley, Donald “Vince” (Tammy) Lee, Jr., Mark Lee, and Pam Loper; eight grandchildren, Thomas, Scott, Stephanie, Tabitha, Jessica, Heather, Brittany, and Victoria; ten great grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth; and many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 11am funeral service Monday, January 25, 2016, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Don Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Crest Cemetery.
