Rodney Pierce Reed, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son, passed away on June 9, 2024, at Singing River Hospital. He was born on December 10, 1969, in Mobile, Alabama. Rodney will always be remembered for his vibrant sweet, joking, and fun-loving personality.
In his professional life, Rodney found fulfillment as an over the road truck driver for over 15 years. His dedication to his career was admirable, and he made many lasting connections along the highways he traveled.
Beyond his work life, Rodney cherished moments spent with his family. His proudest accomplishments revolved around his loved ones as he was incredibly family-oriented. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Rodney's memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Regina Reed; children, Scott Foster, Joshua Reed, Jacob Reed, and Jordyn Reed; five grandchildren; mother, Annie Reed; siblings, Vicky Cameron (Lee) and Dwayne Reed (Lori); nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He is now reunited in heaven with his father, Frank Reed; maternal grandparents, Melton and Augusta Weaver; paternal grandparents, Eliza and Billy Reed; along with aunts and uncles.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the wake scheduled on June 13, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the 2:00 PM funeral service at Reed's Chapel Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Turner officiating. Burial will follow in Reed's Chapel Cemetery.
Rodney's memory will live on through the laughter he shared while singing songs or cracking a good joke. His passion for BBQ gatherings will be remembered fondly by all who had the pleasure of joining him around the grill.
