Ronald Elton Jordan

Ronald Elton Jordan, 61, a resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015. He was a retired millwright with Local 89 and enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. His children and grandchildren were his life and he loved making memories with them. He was preceded in death by parents, Wyona and Bo Meinhardt, Pete and Julia Jordan. Left to cherish his memory is wife of 41 years, Kathy Cartee Jordan; children, Cynthia (Lee) Duke, Christina (Earnest) Odom and Rodney (Meg) Jordan; grandchildren, Tripp, Chase, Raegan, Kady, Gracie, Cooper and Callie; brother, Eddie (Sandy) Jordan; sisters, Diana (David) Pierce, Sandra (Robbie) Barnett, Janet (Junior) Bruhl and Tammy (Terry) Knapp; aunt, Edith Ariail; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 12pm Mass of the Resurrection on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church with Rev. John Coghlan as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Calvert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials should be made to the favorite charity of your choice.
