Roy Weaver

Roy “Stringbean” Weaver, a native and resident of Mount Vernon, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018, one day after his 69th birthday. He was a logger and enjoyed fishing in his spare time. Stringbean loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Della Weaver; brothers, Dave Weaver, James Weaver and Mark Weaver; grandson, Wilbur “Dude” Weaver; and great granddaughter, Taylor Weaver. Those left to cherish his memory is wife of 47 years, Theresa Weaver; children, Eula Rivers, Glenda Weaver, Lola Weaver, Michael Weaver and Chris Weaver; nine grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sisters, Lucy, Margaret and Jane; brothers, Carl, Hank and Sonny; very good friend, Shannon Walker; other relatives and friends. The wake will be from 6-9 pm Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Rivers of Living Waters Church. The funeral service will be 11 am Monday, May 14, 2018 at Rivers of Living Waters Church with Rev.
