Ruby Elizabeth Jarrell, 50, a native of Mississippi and resident of Millry, Alabama passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015. She was a waitress most of her life and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Light of Yahshua Ministries and cross stitching was her favorite pastime. Ruby was preceded in death by her father, Rubin Cartwright; mother, Jeanette Courtney; father, Harold Courtney; sister, Shirley Cartwright; daughter, Carletta Terlouw. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters, Lisa Reeves and Amanda Jarrell; two sons, Joseph Miller and Mitchell Jarrell; mother, Mary Cartwright; three sisters, Juanita Bennett, Mary Howell and Margaret Ornelas; seven brothers, Johnny Courtney, Harold Courtney, Franky Courtney, Ronny Courtney, Tommy Courtney, Jamie Courtney and Mitchell Courtney; three grandchildren, Saryna, Conner and Adam; aunt, Carletta Dunn; other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 11am until the 12pm funeral service on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at Yarbo Assembly of God with Rev. Greg Morris and Joey Heflin officiating. Burial will follow in Yellow Pine Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Courtney and Linda Courtney. Active pallbearers will be David Flint, Johnny Prestenbach, Chris Reeves, Tony Page, Doc Ornelas and Michael Howell. The family would like to extend their appreciation to Southern Care Hospice – Grove Hill, AL and Hospice of Light – Ocean Springs, MS for the care and compassion given to Ruby during her illness.
