Russell A. Hines

Russell Hines, a resident of Citronelle, Alabama passed away Monday, May 1, 2023. He was 64 years old. Russell worked in construction most of his life as a heavy equipment operator and in his spare time he loved to play golf and disk golf. He was also an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed watching the Tide Roll on Saturday’s.

Russell is preceded in death by his wife, Janet Hines; father, Robert Hines; and brother, Ronald Hines.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Mavis Hines; sister, Lisa George (Eddie); children, Christopher Lins, Brandy Cole (Dunford), Nathan Sullivan; grandchilden, Michael Cole (Jane), Destiny Sullivan, Jeremiah Sullivan, Briana Davis, Jordan Sullivan, Austin Sullivan, and Joshua Sullivan; great-grandson, Tripp; nieces, Andrea Byrd and Allyson Leggett (Brandon); nephews, Joshua Byrd (Samantha), Robbie Hines, and Jake Hines; numerous great nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service Friday, May 05, 2023, at Freeman Funeral Home with Rev. Dunford Cole officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Crest Cemetery. Freeman Funeral Home – Citronelle, Alabama
