Samekia Quantrail Pollard Murphy, 23, a resident of Mt. Vernon, Alabama passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at her home with her husband, Nick at her side. Samekia was born December 13, 1993 to the late Vivierly Morrison and Fredrick Pollard in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was a graduate of Citronelle High School where she was an Honor student and she was employed by Mobile Glass until her illness. Samekia was a beautiful soul with a smile that could light a room. She enjoyed going to the beach and the sand between her toes. Above all she loved being a wife and mother. Her boys, Aydin and Christian were her greatest joy. Besides her husband, Nicholas Ashton Murphy and boys, Aydin NiKlaus and Christian Elijah, she leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Fredrick Pollard, four sisters, Omega Morrison, Tamekia Pollard, Andrea Davis and Chevis Morrison; five brothers, Derrick Morrison, Shawn Morrison, Fredrick L. Pollard, Jr., Jamarcus Austin and Miquel Thomas; Sr.; grandparents, Priscilla Morrison, Pearlean Pollard, Dianne Murphy, Linnie Donald and Simon Donald, Jr.; mother-in-law, Kelly Kyle; father-in-law, Simon Donald, III.; four sisters-in-law, Meagan Kyle, Alayna Kyle, Whitney Donald and Preston Donald; brother-in-law, Blakeley Donald; very close friend, Ed’Recka English; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 10am until the 12pm funeral service on Monday, January 9, 2017 at Williams Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Kelvin Maye, Sr. officiating.
